Remember way back to October when we hosted our very first giveaway to launch the Royal Beauty Bag series? If you’re not familiar, RBB is where we subject ourselves to trying Kate’s favorite products and then share our experiences with beauty product reviews and we couldn’t think of a better way to kick off this exciting new series than to give one of our fabulous readers a kit full of beauty products so that they could try out a whole bunch of new looks themselves. We were thrilled to receive photos from our winner, Hillary, who tried (and succeeded!) to replikate Kate’s look at the BAFTA awards with the products from the giveaways. Added bonus? She was kind enough to give us beauty product reviews on a whole variety of the giveaway loot!
We’ll let Hillary share her Royal Beauty Bag beauty product replikate!
It was so much fun opening the box full of surprises, and surprising my mailman with my sudden postal enthusiasm. The jewel toned tissue paper and Harvey Nichols bag (nice touch!) made winning that much more special.

To show the extent of my appreciation I decided to try and replicate Kate’s look from the LA BAFTA party (you know, lilac Alexander McQueen and Jimmy Choos- on the cover of September’s Vanity Fair) as what I think is a prime example of her go to make-up look.

As for the products, I had to supplement with some of my own because I have never been better moisturized in my life, but there is no foundation in the beauty bag. Best to stick with my own tried and true foundation anyway since I am very very pale, and Kate is not.
I did use about 3 times my usual amount of eyeliner (NYX) a la Kate and the Cargo Mascara, along with some of my own Lancome eyeshadow. Used the Yves Rocher lipstick as a cream blush to get the right shade of pink. Then a combination of about three lipglosses to get the right shine and color.

Is she not the cutest thing you’ve ever seen? We think she nailed it.

Thanks Hillary for sharing your great pictures and we are so thrilled that you liked your beauty products!
