Royal Beauty Bag: Boots – A Kate Favorite

February 11, 2013      Leave a Comment

Kate revisits her favourite shop, Peter Jones, in Kings Road for the first time as a Royal wife.. with all the police protection that goes with itFor years, we’ve seen Kate walking around London with the signature white and blue Boots bag. Whether she’s off to the BAFTA awards or shopping for her growing baby bump, the girl needs to keep herself pretty. While we all long to be as gorgeous as the Duchess of Cambridge, we just aren’t willing to get a nose job. So the WWKD team is constantly searching for other ways to get that glamorous, classic, timeless beauty that Catherine has had ever since she was just Kate Middleton.

Boots seems like a wonderful store – a female heaven. From what we gather, Boots is a Walgreens-meets Ulta-meets Sephora hybrid. See what I mean? HEAVEN. You can pick up your Crest toothpaste, your Nivea face cream and your Chanel lipstick all in the same place. I have no idea why America doesn’t have anything this remarkable yet!

Kate has been seen picking up Nivea moisturizer at Boots, and we imagine she grabs other staples there, too. While we can pop into Walgreens for our toothpaste, Ulta for our Nivea cream and Sephora for our Chanel lipstick, there are some things that Boots sells exclusively.

In the United States, Target has an aisle dedicated to exclusive Boots products. As if you needed another reason to love the place, you can pick up moisturizers and toners from Kate’s favorite shop. The products are great and incredibly reasonable. Here are some of my favorites:

: Exfoliating is SO important, but you have to do it right – too harsh, and you’ll do harm; too gentle, and you’ll do nothing. This exfoliator is a strange sort of gel with perfectly round beads. There’s just enough exfoliation for daily use. It leaves my face feeling really soft afterwards!

Boots Expert Foaming Cleanser

: This is my favorite foaming cleanser. It actually lathers up, instead of just sitting on your skin, and leaves your face feeling fresh. I like this MUCH better than Clinique’s Acne Solutions foaming cleanser. Again, this smells great and didn’t bother my skin

No. 7 Quick Thinking 4-in-1 Wipes

20130209-115735.jpg: These wipes take off my Bobbi Brown foundation like a charm, while also cleansing, toning and moisturizing. I love these wipes because my face doesn’t feel sticky after using them, unlike some other facial wipes I have tried. They smell great and were perfect for my sensitive skin.

There are SO many products in the Boots aisle at Target! I encourage you to head over to your local store (as if you needed another excuse to go) and try out some products. On the weekends, there is even a Boots consultant in the aisle to give you advice and free samples!
