Welcome to My Royal Closet! Each month, take a look into a different closet that has been royally-inspired by Kate. The Duchess of Cambridge has been a huge influence on our closets, and we want to share our favorite repliKates and outfits with you!
Meet Sophie: Sophie is a keen anglophile, who has lived and worked in Great Britain, and consequently enjoys the British Royal family quite a lot (well…I must confess that Kate in that respect has been well involved in that sort of affection I have for the Firm). As a child she was particularly fond of Princess Diana, Will and Harry, but after Diana’s tragic death her interest faded. She only saw a few pictures of cute-and-normal Kate before THE engagement and then…. WOW… How stunning she looked THAT day! From then on… Sophie has been a real fan… Not only from her wonderful smile, green eyes, brunette (to die for )locks but also from the kindness and inside beauty she radiates….and NOT TO MENTION her closet! She lives with her husband in France.
RAOUL Skirt
When she stepped out in that flowy skirt and top with this cute jockey print, I went to find out more about the brand… One day as I browsed their website it happened that both were on sale! They had my size in the skirt so I went for it. Since then I’ve been wearing it in the Spring with a silk black top and red open-toe suede pumps. I love rétro style.
Tara Jarmon Peach Coat
Again luck and bargain strikes back! I love flowery prints and when I saw Kate on the Australian tarmac I only wished we could see more of that dress as the photos didn’t do that beautiful blush silk dress any justice.
Project D Penelope Dress
Not a single picture reflects it’s true pretty colour, it’s a peachy-coral coat with such a flattering and again retro style. Tara Jarmon is one of my favourite high street French brand and the minute I saw the Duchess -pregnant with G- looking picture perfect in it I loved it… This time it was very easy for me to find that versatile coat on a multi brand website and I like to wear it with denim skinnies and ballerinas.
GOAT Scarlett Dress
This dress sort of grew on me… When we thought she’d worn it underneath that awesome J. Saunders Coat, I really liked the shape and stitching details and the 60s belt buckle… And of course when we saw her wearing it a couple of weeks later, that was it! I needed it!! I liked the Géranium colour but knew I would get bored of it after a while. As an alternative I found a cream one at Fenwick’s department store in London for 60% off!! I must admit I haven’t worn it yet! But it will always be a staple in my closet…
Mulberry Polly Pushlock Bag
As the Duchess was ready to board the plane which would take them as newlyweds to Canada I completely fell in love with both the Smythe Les Vestes navy jacket AND that so cute Mulberry bag…

wow! wonderful!
love that project d dress since i saw kate with but apparently the project d website is now closed, as if it was definitely canceled, i don’t understand, there’s no vestiges of it, no website, no posts on their facebook page from 2012-2013… is the brand was originally a limited collaboration, and not a really brand? HELP

Sophie, we loved featuring your closet!! xx
Beautiful collection! I love your pieces and am super jealous of your polly push-lock find 😉 I have been drooling over Mullberry since I was a Glamour intern at 18. Really lovely curated collection, and I’m sure you look gorgeous in all the pieces!
