My Royal Closet: Jill | Royal Baby Watch Special Edition!

April 1, 2015      7 Comments

Welcome to My Royal Closet! Each month, take a look into a different closet that has been royally-inspired by Kate. The Duchess of Cambridge has been a huge influence on our closets, and we want to share our favorite repliKates and outfits with you!

This month, we’re sharing a special Royal Closet – a pregnant Royal Closet! WWKD reader Jill shared her favorite outfits during her pregnancy. Jill showed us how easy, chic, and effortless repliKate-ing can be, even when expecting your own royal baby!

Meet Jill: Jill is a WWKD reader and avid repliKate-er. In October, she shared her spot-on Halloween costume and won our Editor’s Discretionary Award for best costume. Since then, she’s been sharing her fabulous Kate-inspired outfits during her pregnancy with twin girls. You can find her on Twitter or at her website, shutthechefup.com

The Little Black RepliKate Dress Black lace dress

This dress was a great repliKate style! Inspired by Kate’s Jenny Packham teal gown, but in a more practical black chiffon and shorter length, Jill looked like a stunning mummy-to-be! We love her princess-worthy updo!

Travel In Style

Blazer Stripes 1 Blazer Stripes 2

Is there a more popular repliKate combo than this?! Probably not, and for good reason. Jill looks super chic in skinny jeans, a breton tee, and blazer. Paired with suede wedges and a trusty Longchamp bag, she’s ready for her flight. We also loved to see her Prince Charming getting in on the fun – that outfit is very Prince Harry!

Shopping Chic

Burberry Cape 1 Burberry Cape 2Just like Kate, Jill opted for a comfortable plaid cape from Burberry and suede boots for a shopping trip. The casual ensemble is comfortable and cute for a shop-til-you-drop outing. We wonder what she purchased – some Aden + Anais swaddles, perhaps?!

Country Chic

Le Chameau 1 Le Chameau 2

Could she be any cuter?! Jill and her furry friend spent a day in the (American) countryside. Sporting a very-Kate outfit, Jill paired her Le Chameau wellies and skinny jeans with a purple cable knit jumper and button down top. We’ve seen Kate in this look many times, and Jill wears it just as well!

Pretty in Pink

Pink Wrap Dress

Kate loves pink for pregnancy, perhaps just to give the editors of the Daily Mail something to write about, and this wrap dress is just SO cute! Jill wore a bright pink wrap dress with nude pumps by Cole Haan and a matching clutch. This outfit reminds me of Kate’s Tara Jarmon coat, even down to the fabulous hair!

And then…

We hadn’t heard from Jill in a few weeks, and this is why! Jill welcomed her beautiful twin girls, Chloe and Sadie, on March 13. In true duchess-style, Jill insisted on a blowout before leaving the hospital! Her berry pink dress is a great touch as she brought her little princesses to their own palace.

We LOVED working on this piece with Jill! It just goes to show that Kate’s timeless style can inspire any outfit, any day, from the airport, to a wedding, to the country – even when you’re pregnant! We’d love if you could send Jill a congratulatory tweet on Twitter.

Does anyone know where her black cocktail dress is from (the one in the first picture)? I’m pregnant and I have a wedding to attend and I would love to find it!
