Welcome to My Royal Closet! Each month, take a look into a different closet that has been royally-inspired by Kate. The Duchess of Cambridge has been a huge influence on our closets, and we want to share our favorite repliKates and outfits with you!

This is one of this Kate dresses I just HAD to have and after much digging, I was able to get it on eBay! (they still pop up now and again so keep looking!) This beautiful dress is made in a satin print and its length was made to hit just under the knee. Since I am a bit short I had it altered to hit just above and I also removed the belt loops it originally came with.
This dress has a great fit and sure makes me feel like a princess when I wear it! I’ve worn it to a cocktail party and a job interview pairing it up with a blazer. Totally versatile!
Whistles engagement blouse

Probably the most expensive Kate item I own. Once again I found this on eBay and paid a ridiculous amount for it plus it was 2 sizes too big. No trouble for me. Had it altered and now fits me perfectly! I use this top a lot and always get great compliments on it. This delicate blouse came in two styles, one sheer and one opaque. I have the latter. My favorite part about this item is the design on the front of the blouse and the details on the cuffs. I wear this with jeans like Pippa did (and pair it up with my Sebago shoes) or with a dressy skirt to go out.
TopShop Contrast Collar Shift Dress

A simple yet beautiful dress which can be dressed up or down. This dress was purchased on eBay for a fairly reasonable price the day Kate wore it. The dress is made in black Polyester and it features a Peter Pan collar in a contrasting white. I can use this dress with sandals (or the Pied a Terre sling back shoes) and put my hair up a bun or wear it just like Kate did and make it look regal and expensive.
McQueen repliKate dress

I think this is one of my favorite Kate dresses because of how unique it is. This could really go in the “costumey” category but somehow it does not. I had my dress custom made during a trip to Thailand a year ago. I knew tailors were fairly priced out there and wanted to spoil myself with a good replikate. My dress is not made in cashmere because I live in Florida and would absolutely melt wearing it. it is beautifully made in a kind of polyester and it is fully lined on the inside. I pair this up with my blue suede shoes just like she did along with my sapphire blue replicate earrings.
Jenny Packham repliKate dress

Best sun dress for Florida humidity! I love wearing this piece in the summer time (which is all the time) because of its light fabric and bright color. I purchased this dress from a fellow repliKater via Shop Kate’s Closet (love that page!) I really like the vintage feel of the collar and big buttons on the dress. I do wear a slip under it to prevent windy mishaps (oops!). This too can be worn with cute flats, sandals or heels just like Kate.
Julie, you look adorable! Like your mom, I too began my royal obsession with Diana. She was just a few years older than me, and I copied many of her looks. Thanks for such a fun post 🙂
