Members of the Royal Family gathered at Buckingham Palace for their annual Christmas luncheon at Buckingham Palace. It is a festive treat for royal watchers, as the entire family arrives for a lovely afternoon spent together.
The Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Harry, and Prince George arrived together around 12:30 PM. Kate wore her Luisa Spagnoli red suit, which is perfect for the Christmas event. Nanny Maria was also on hand, which leads us to believe that little Princess Charlotte was also in attendance. Prince William did not attend the luncheon today.
During the luncheon, it was announced that the Duke of Edinburgh has handed his patronage of the RAF Air Cadets to the Duchess of Cambridge. Catherine is now the official Air Commodore in Chief, her first official duties within the military.
What goes on inside the palace during the Christmas luncheon? One can only guess, but there is surely a feast befitting a King (or, in this case, a Queen!). The guest list is lengthy, with an estimated 30-40 guests in attendance. The Christmas Luncheon is one of many Christmas celebrations for the Royal Family. In the next week, the Royal Family will arrive at Sandringham for their Christmas traditions.
