Welcome back to My Royal Closet! Each month, take a look into a different closet that has been royally-inspired by Kate. The Duchess of Cambridge has been a huge influence on our closets, and we want to share our favorite repliKates and outfits with you!
Meet Vanessa: I really admire Catherine and look up to her almost as an older sister.. We are both fitness/wellness enthusiasts, played field hockey in high school, and are both Capricorns. Initially, my intrigue with British Royalty began with Princess Diana even before I entered grade school. Even as a young child, her passing hit me very hard. I still have my Princess Diana Beanie Baby that was gifted to me that following Christmas on my dresser. For me, Catherine is a breath of fresh air. Her style has always been, in my eyes, impeccable and swoon-worthy. My most favorite outfits of hers are encompassed in hers and Prince William’s Southeast Asian Tour in 2012 with the baby blue Temperley Dress as my most favorite. My second favorite piece is her Moloh Workers Coat she wore in 2013. I wish to own a Workers Coat one day. I did purchase the Moloh Poldark Jacket in October of 2014. Find me on Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, and Facebook @EastEndTaste.
Reiss Emile Sharply Tailored Coat
The colour of this coat is exquisite to say the least. I will admit, I just purchased a winter coat from Katherine Hooker from their new collection just two weeks prior, so I initially was not ready to jump upon another purchase. However, it took one day for me to realize that I could not pass up the opportunity to own this smart, rich cobalt coat that is perfect for work and for going out to dinner. I already owned Beulah’s heart scarf that I purchased two years prior and both pieces paired together are simply perfect. Everyone I bump into wants to know where I purchased it. It doesn’t surprise me that Catherine chose to wear hers to the rugby match.
Oasis Black Turtleneck Jumper
I had been searching for a black turtleneck jumper for sometime and when the Oasis jumper became available to my surprise on eBay a year ago, I could not pass up the opportunity! I decided to pair it will black suede heels and a large belt from Reiss. For embracing the chilly weather, I wear my Moloh jacket or one of my Reiss coats over it.
Catherine Zoraida Fern Hoop Earrings
I had not purchased any jewelry in quite some time. I have tons of pieces that were gifted to me by my mom, my husband, and from friends and extended family during the holidays. I love the unique style of these earrings, and the woodsy inspiration they evoke. They go great with nearly every outfit, and I have already worn them ten plus times! Tip: if you sign up for their newsletter you will get 10% off your purchase!
Zara Brown Check Blazer
Curiously, I was looking for a Zara blazer on eBay when this vintage blazer became visible in my search. Too good to be true there were no bids and less than ten minutes until the auction was over, with a starting unbeatable price. I took my chances, bid, and won! It had been gently worn and it is so lovely for the fall. I wear it with dark denim, black, brown, maroon, and cream sweaters with a dark brown scarf.
I adore these gloves as they sincerely are the best and most comfortable gloves in the world. I have worn them during every winter formal occasion I have attended. As they come in a variety of colours, I do intend to purchase one or two more pairs in the near future. These gloves are timeless and will last a lifetime. Another smart purchase thanks to inspiration from Catherine!
Love the Reid’s Smile sharply tailored coat, gloves, and scarf! You look great in the picture! Thanks for sharing!
