One of the most common themes we hear from readers trying to repliKate Kate’s wardrobe is how it’s practically impossible for us non-royals without unlimited shopping budgets to incorporate her designer looks. Of course, part of Kate’s appeal is her use and incorporation of high-street or accessible brands (Hello, Zara and REISS) but there are also showstopping Erdem, Jenny Packham, Alexander McQueen and other fabulous designer pieces that we would never be able to incorporate into our closets to wear a handful of times only. Or… would we?

This is where we love (and have used) Rent the Runway before, a service which allows you to rent designer dresses, clothing and accessories for a few days and then return them. That’s right – you get to wear designer couture for a special event (weddings, proms, graduations…), a big meeting (product pitches, interviews…), charitable engagements… Just like Kate, but without the price tags of a Duchess!

We thought we would share three Spring fresh looks that we could see Kate wearing to different events, inspired by designers she has worn in the past or silhouettes that she prefers.
Spring Fresh Look 1: Formal Event

Spring Fresh Look 2: Cocktail Event

Spring Fresh Look 3: Casual Event

Right now, you can rent ONE and get TWO free with Rent the Runway! Great way to test it out, and we’d love to see your looks.
