Cast your memory back to October, when we spent the day shopping like Kate in Sloane Square, home of the Sloane Rangers and stomping ground of the Chelsea set. Not as well known, but well worth a visit, is Duke of York Square, an upmarket pedestrian shopping area just off Sloane Square – the perfect way to extend your visit if you’ve already popped into Peter Jones for a nice cup of tea…

Apart from the mammoth Zara store, there are a plethora of high-end high street fashion brands – don’t expect to shop for an outfit and come away with much change from a grand around these parts… In particular, Joseph, a brand that Kate wears particularly well, has a great looking store front.

As well as this, that old classic – L.K. Bennett, has a great shop with their key offerings from the brand each season.

The Square is also home to a few more brands that we haven’t seen the Duchess wearing – is this a clue for wardrobe UFOs, or perhaps a glimpse into the future? I’d love to see the Duchess in COS – it offers very structured and unusual style dresses and workwear, but shoppers need to have a bit of imagination during a browsing session, as the clothing really don’t look all that great on the rails! AllSaints is an edgy, almost gothic-style brand, so I would be very surprised if Kate had ever shopped there – sprung from Spitalfields, home of tales of Jack the Ripper, the brand is soaked in old-world charm and quirky tailoring. It’s almost like a watered-down Alexander McQueen, but then Kate never did seem to go in for McQueen’s more outrageous styles…

Duke of York Square is a fantastic place to shop, but just like Sloane Square, it probably won’t occupy you for too long a while. So, once you’ve filled your shopping bags, we’ll head on over to King’s Road – the royal mile of shopping in London!
