Day two of the Royal Tour has come and gone – marking our first venue change from Mumbai to New Delhi as well as two more outfits to add to the impressive collection we have seen thus far on the Duchess. Let’s recap! As always, the full coverage of the events are in a separate article (here) and this post will focus solely on the fashion.
Outfit #1 : Departing Mumbai and Ghandi’s House in Emilia Wickstead
We first saw Will and Kate this morning in Mumbai before getting on a quick plane ride to Delhi. Kate was fresh and airy in a breezy peter pan collared Emilia Wickstead dress that quickly polarized the royal fashion world. Did we like the pockets? Did we hate them? Were we indifferent to them? We also had a near wardrobe malfunction when the wind blew up Kate’s dress a la Marilyn Monroe and got to confirm Kate wears her toes with no polish (and she was wearing nude tights!) when she removed her shoes.
Dress: Emilia Wickstead Wool Crepe Midi Dress ($2600 USD)
Shoes: Rupert Sanderson Calice shoe in Pink Lady ($675 USD)
Earrings: Cassandra Goad Temple of Heaven ($2990 USD)
Clutch: Mulberry Bayswater Clutch ($750 USD)
Total Cost: Approximately $7015 USD
Outfit #2 : Garden Party in Alice Temperley
A garden party to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday was the perfect event for Kate to show us a gorgeous, showstopping Alice Temperley two piece skirt and top duo that will undoubtedly be used as a prime example of her amazing sense of style.
Top & Skirt: Alice Temperley Delphia Cropped Embroidered Tulle Top ($1525 USD) and Maxi Skirt ($2995 USD) The top is still available at publication time, however skirt is sold out.
Clutch: Prada ($1470 USD)
Earrings: Accessorize, a costume jewellery piece worn several times by both Kate and Pippa over the years. (Approx. $16 USD)
Total Cost: Approximately $6840 USD
