Day six of the Royal Tour of Canada was the best day
ever of the tour ever yet! Prince George and Princess Charlotte joined their mum and dad for a fun, family garden party in Victoria.
The Children’s Party was hosted at Government House in Victoria, where the Cambridge family is staying for most of their tour. The gardens and lawns were the perfect setting for a picturesque party.
The even was hosted for the Esquimalt Military Family Resource Centre. The Centre helps military families to navigate the special lifestyle required during their service. They connect families with support and friendship, provide information, and advocate for the military community.
While the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince George and Princess Charlotte were considered guests of honor at today’s event, the other guests were truly special – the other guests all had family members currently deployed and serving overseas.
The party was quite a fete! Local youth members and animals – including ponies and a dog named Moose! – from the local 4-H club were in attendance.
There were balloon entertainers, who made balloon animals for George and Charlotte. In fact, balloons seemed to be the best part of the day for the young royals. Charlotte could be heard saying “pop! Pop!” to the balloons throughout the day.
Prince George was given a bright orange bubble gun, which he promptly used to spray his father with bubbles.
Charlotte and George both rode animals at the event – George rode a pony, while Charlotte bounced up and down on Moose’s back.
Overall, it was an incredibly joyful event – one for the books! The rest of the afternoon was spent privately enjoying the party and, when the party ended, spending time together as a family.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are back tomorrow and they are headed to Haida Gwaii!
