This week the calendar will officially turn to December. DECEMBER! Are you ready for the madness the busiest month of the year will bring?
We thought we’d help you out with one thing that is often on people’s to-do lists as they approach the holidays… A Christmas outfit! And, of course, we turned to the Duchess of Cambridge for inspiration. What would Kate wear for Christmas? We looked back at her Sandringham Christmas looks from the last three years to find you inspiration from Kate herself.
Christmas 2013 – Mad About Plaid
The Royal Family Christmas Service at Sandringham for Kate in 2013 was a very plaid affair… She wore a blue & green Alexander McQueen “Black Watch” plaid long coat dress, a high-heeled pair of black boots and a matching hunter green fascinator by Gina Foster. It was a chic look that was surprisingly daring for the Duchess with the plaid print standing out over the rest of the family’s solids.

Christmas 2014 – Tweed Time
2014 brought out a more subdued Christmas outfit from Kate (but most definitely not her Majesty, resplendent in fuchsia!) as she wore a brown tweed coat by Moloh, her brown Hobbs shirtdress, Catherine Zoraida gold earrings, Valerie shoes by Emmy shoes, a Really Wild Clothing Autumn Partidge print scarf and a reserved “Betty Boop” Locke & Co. fascinator. With her luscious brown hair flowing from under the hat, it was a great look for the Duchess.

Christmas 2015 – Green with Envy
For Christmas Day 2015, the Duchess decided to wear a festive colour, green, as she attended Sandringham services with the family. Wearing a new colour wheel of the Great Plains Cezanne dress (around £70), she paired it with a new long belted hunter green coat by Sportmax. On her coat, we saw her oak leaf and acorn brooch (first seen in 2012), a representation of the coat of arms of the Middleton family. She accessorized with her Mulberry Bayswater clutch, Aquatalia Rhumba boots, Cornelia James Imogen gloves and Kiki McDonough green amethyst earrings.

Christmas 2016 – Only Time will Tell
What will we see Kate wear this year? Only Kate (and Natasha Archer!) will know for sure, but we thought it would be fun to play “Let WWKD Play Kate Stylist”. Here’s what we would love to see on the Duchess this Christmas.
I ADORE the navy blue Goat coat you included! I do wish we’d see Kate in that color more often (and other than a Breton stripe and blazer)!
I know – I’m a navy blue fanatic and she looks so pretty in it. Fingers crossed!
