“Charlotte and George! Come downstairs — we’re having dessert for breakfast!”
Can you imagine health-conscious Kate ever saying this to her children? Well, after she reads the below recipe, perhaps she will! If Kate’s children are like most children, then they are picky eaters. As a result, Kate, like so many other parents, may have difficulty getting them to eat the right foods at the right times. But the below receipt may be the perfect solution. Made with fruit and yogurt, these popsicle snacks will be a welcome treat in the fast-approaching warmer months. Please note – if you want to opt for a true dessert, crunch up your favorite candy instead of the suggested granola!
Berry Yogurt Granola Smoothie Popsicles
1 cup strawberries (or any fruit you prefer)
1 cup vanilla Greek yogurt
1/2 cup milk
3/4 cup granola
Four 3-4-ounce ice pop molds (Ice Pop Molds Ozera)
In a blender, combine the fruit of your choice, yogurt, and milk. Blend until smooth.
Put a small amount of granola in each of the ice pop molds, then layer with yogurt, another layer of granola, and a layer of yogurt.
Freeze until firm, at least 8 hours. Let them sit at room temperature a few minutes before taking the pops out of the molds.
