Pippa’s Wedding Fashion Recap

While we anxiously await another Kate event, we thought we’d recap the fashions worn by Kate’s sister, Pippa, on her honeymoon with new husband James Matthews. The Middleton sisters have very similar styles, and it has been interesting to see what Pippa has chosen to wear now that she is officially Mrs. Pippa Matthews. We’ve seen many dresses that are very reminiscent of her older sister’s style and role.

Looking back to the event that kicked off this honeymoon is Pippa’s wedding itself. Pippa wore a high neckline, cap sleeve, corseted lace bodice wedding dress designed by Giles Deacon.

Our friend Middleton Maven shared that Pippa also wore a Stephen Jones veil made from fine tulle, bespoke Manolo Blahnik Seneca shoes in ivory satin with pearl detailing and wore the Maidenhair Fern tiara by Robinson Pelham. Vogue has a great piece about the story behind the tiara and Pippa’s earrings.

The next time we saw Pippa, she was arriving with her new husband at Los Angeles International Airport after a long trip from London. Pippa wore skinny jeans, a frayed woven Toquila Sensi straw tote bag, the Kate Spade Scallop Tweed jacket and matching Kate Spade embroidered top. A perfectly put together – yet comfortable – look for the new bride to start her new life as Mrs. Matthews.

Several photos of Pippa on her honeymoon in French Polynesia emerged which allowed for the identification of the pieces she wore. Biondi London were quick to include the bikinis Pippa wore on their Twitter feed – the Antibes Bandeau and a currently unavailable blue version. Hello, abs! Pippa also wore the Kate Spade Lantern Flounce Sundress while strolling on the beach with her new husband.

Pippa was next spotted in Sydney, where she and James were seen headed to a water taxi. Pippa once again chose to wear Kate Spade, this time the Bea Stripe Talita dress.

She accessorized with a Marithè+Francois Girbaud ‘Peeprate’ jacket in black (thanks again to our friend Middleton Maven!) as well as an Aspinal of London Small Lottie bag and Persol Typewriter Havana glasses. Her wedges are still unconfirmed, but they look closest to this pair from Castaner.

We next saw Pippa as she was leaving dinner in Sydney, wearing yet another new Kate Spade piece – the smocked floral tile dress. She accessorized with L.K. Bennett Kit Suede scrappy sandals and a re-visiting of her Aspinal of London bag.

There were even a few snaps of Pippa keeping up her fitness routine in Australia, and Middleton Maven was able to quickly identify even her running look! She wore a top by Peak Performance called the Crotona, the Peak Performance Run Tights, and Hoka One One Challenger shoes.

We next saw casual Pippa as the couple continued to travel to other parts of Australia for their honeymoon. Pippa looked comfortable and chic in an Oral Kiely Paisley Cotton blouse, Goldsign skinny jeans, the Frayed Woven Toquila Straw tote from Sensi and while her wedges are still unconfirmed, we believe they look – for now, anyway – closest to this pair from Castaner.

Pippa and James toughed down next in Perth, where Pippa wore a perfectly appropriate dress by Make – the Rafina Belted dress. She paired it with the Frayed Woven Toquila Straw tote from Sensi and those same wedges which we still believe – for now, anyway – closest to this pair from Castaner.

Pippa was also spotted arriving in Darwin, stepping off a private plane looking well rested and happy! She paired an old Zara shirtdress with her Sensi tote, French Sole Glastonbury gladiator sandals and her Persol sunglasses.
