Hear ye, hear ye! White pants polo season has begun! The much-beloved (by royal watchers, at any rate) sports season was kicked off at the Maserati Royal Charity Polo Trophy at the Beaufort Polo Club in Tetbury. Kate, Charlotte, and George joined friends and family to cheer on Prince William and his team at the annual polo match.
It was undeniably cute and family-friendly to see all the mums and little ones running around, chatting, laughing, and playing. It may surprise you to learn that this is not uniquely British – polo tournaments are held around the world, and may even be hosted at a picturesque town near you.
WWKD editor Christine Ross lives in northern Virginia, and was delighted to learn about the Banbury Cross Polo held in Middleburg, Virginia. It is a perfect example of a royal-worthy event that you can attend near your own home. The event features a polo tournament, food and drinks, plenty of space for little ones to run around and play, a social event for adults to chat, and an excuse to get out and enjoy the summer sunshine.
Plenty of these events are held around the US and the UK, and certainly in Canada and other countries around the world. A quick Google search shows list upon list of polo clubs and events that families are welcome to attend. So, invite some friends and family to join you to enjoy the summer sunshine, throw on a breezy dress and wedges, and enjoy the white pants season in person!
Hi! I was wondering – I want to write to Kate and William about little Louis’ christening, but I just don’t really know what to say. Any ideas? Thanks in advance,
Alexis
