As with just about everything else in my life, I often find myself saying “what would Kate buy?” In addition to asking, “what would Kate do?” I’m always looking for things that I think the Duchess might have in her closet, in her home, or in her kitchen cabinets

Many years ago, we learned that had Kate teamed up with UK pottery designer Emma Bridgewater in support of EACH, one of Kate’s most loved charitable patronages. Emma Bridgewater is a pottery wares brand loved by posh girls in London to country housewives in the Cotswolds and everyone in between. Their charming designs are ideal for a cozy country kitchen but also look extra stylish in a sleek city cabinet. When I found out that Kate was also a fan of their signature mugs, I instantly started collecting them and kitted out my kitchen with Emma Bridgewater wares.

Emma Bridgewater is hugely popular with Kate and her friends. Kate was seen carrying their handy shopping bags during a grocery trip to Waitrose, Pippa has been seen in joying cups of tea with her in-laws from the brand’s iconic floral mugs, and every time a royal baby is born, another commemorative mug is released – we’re sure Kate has one for each of her children

I started off quite simply with a mug here and there. As soon as the commemorative mugs came out for Prince George and Princess Charlotte, I scooped up both of those and started purchasing more commemorative mugs as they were released – for the Queen’s birthday, for the royal wedding of Meghan and Harry, for the anniversary of the Battle of Agincourt (okay, that one was technically for my husband!).

Luckily my husband is also a fan of their designs and encourages me to buy a new piece anytime there’s free shipping, which often occurs for American shoppers on orders of $100 or more. Make sure you sign up for their catalogues, as they are fun to get in the mail and always include a coupon code.

In our home, we have trays, canisters, cake tins, tea cups, and all sorts of Emma Bridgewater bits around the house – all inspired by Kate. Even though we live in America, my kitchen feels like a cozy country escape as if it could be in Norfolk. I love to enjoy my cups of tea from my Emma Bridgewater mugs and I often wonder – does Kate have this exact same mug in her own cozy kitchen back in England?
